Microsoft Ignite 2023: Maia, Cobalt AI Chips to Power Copilot and Azure Services Announced

Microsoft unveiled two new custom-designed computing chips called Maia and Cobalt that will bring key AI technologies in-house, to keep costs down. The company said that it doesn't plan to sell Maia and Cobalt. Instead, Microsoft will use the new chips to power its AI software offerings and parts of Its Azure cloud service.
