EU Lawmakers Approve Rules to Make Phone and Laptop Batteries Easier to Replace

The European Parliament recently approved a new rule focused on the production, design, and recycling of all rechargeable batteries that are being sold in the region. This new rule requires manufacturers to make design changes that will allow users to remove the batteries and replace them on their own.
