Germany Wants to Invite Chip Makers for Local Production, Offers EUR 14 Billion as State Aid

Germany’s Economy Minister Robert Habeck expressed the government’s wish to attract global chip makers to the country in lieu of EUR 14 billion state aid. This is line with EU’s plans to encourage chip manufacturing in the European Union due to a boom in demand.
