Microsoft Edge Based on Chromium to Roll Out via Windows Updates, Toolkit to Control Auto-Installation Released

Microsoft Edge based on Chromium will be available for download directly through Windows Updates instead of being a part of the Windows operating system updates. Developers have been provided with a submission window for the Microsoft Edge Addons store to receive new extensions for the Chromium-based Edge browser.
