New drug to save women's lives from post-childbirth bleeding: WHO

Geneva, June 28 (IANS) A novel formulation of drug carbetocin could be safe and effective in preventing excessive bleeding following childbirth and can save thousands of women's lives, showed results of a clinical trial by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 10 countries, including India.
